A new option for the MP1590A network performance tester significantly enhances the accuracy and repeatability of jitter generation measurements on SDH/SONET, OUT-1, and OUT-2 transmission equipment at both the design and manufacturing stages. With the MP1590A-30 option, the test system achieves jitter measurement accuracy of W20 mUI pk-pk and becomes one of the first instruments to comply with the ITU-T Draft 0.172 jitter standard.
