Matrox launches smart camera
Staff -- Test & Measurement World, 5/1/2004
Heralding a new line of programmable smart cameras, Matrox Imaging has introduced the Iris P-Series, which features hardware for image sensing as well as a software applications programming interface (API) for image analysis. The camera is fully programmable and can be customized for vertical applications. The P-Series is powered by a low-power Intel Celeron processor. It runs the Windows CE NET real-time operating system and is programmed using a version of Microsoft's Visual C++. OEMs and integrators can develop their applications with the Matrox Imaging Library (MIL) and run them directly on Matrox Iris P-Series camera systems.
