Three options complement vision lineup

Staff -- Test & Measurement World, 5/1/2004

EDITORS' CHOICE
An Ethernet I/O assembly, an industrial power supply, and an intelligent breakout board complement DVT's Legend family of machine-vision systems. The Ethernet I/O assembly, CON-IOE ($650 list price), adds eight outputs and eight inputs to the existing eight digital I/O lines on Legend systems. It includes an integrated breakout module to tie in cameras directly. A wizard guides CON-IOE setup; the procedure will be integrated in a new release of FrameWork, DVT's Windows-based software, due out later this year.

The industrial power supply, ACC-24I ($125 list), provides 2 A of continuous current. The switched power supply accepts 100- to 240-V input and provides an adjustable 24.5- to 28.5-VDC output. It can handle up to 4 A for brief periods. The intelligent breakout board, CON-IBOB ($300 list), accommodates optical relays to optically isolate I/O lines, and it includes status LEDs for each of the I/O lines.
