Dataq Instruments has introduced three new product lines: the DI-710 Series 16-channel data-acquisition modules, which can operate in stand-alone mode or while tethered to a computer; the DI-158 Series 12-bit analog input, digital I/O starter modules; and the DI-148 Series 10-bit analog input, digital I/O starter modules.
The DI-710 (pictured) provides up to 14 bits of resolution over 16 single-ended or eight differential channels; it also provides eight digital I/O lines. Stand-alone versions can stream up to 7200 samples/s to 512 Mbytes of removable multimedia-card memory; they can also operate as LAN or Internet servers. Tethered versions transmit up to 4800 samples/s to a host PC over either Ethernet or USB interfaces. Prices start at less than $400.
The DI-158 Series modules, with prices starting at $99, have sampling rates of 14,000 or 28,800 samples/s and feature four fixed differential 12-bit analog input channels, two digital-to-analog output channels, four bits of general-purpose digital I/O, and Ethernet or USB interfaces. DI-148 Series versions, with prices starting at $25, provide eight channels of single-ended 10-bit analog input and six channels of digital I/O; they offer RS-232 or USB interfaces.
