Dalsa (www.dalsa.com) announced the development of its 12k-pixel line-scan camera and sensor architecture....Redlake (www.redlake.com) demonstrated its new MegaPlus II family of cameras, which include single- and three-CCD versions offering up to 11 Mpixels per CCD....RVSI (www.rvsi.com) introduced a new version of its HawkEye camera that combines a smart-camera 2-D data-matrix code reader with a built-in verifier....Kodak (www.kodak.com/go/imagers) demonstrated its KAI 0340M image sensor, which can deliver up to 210 frames/s....Point Grey Research (www.ptgrey.com) unveiled its Dragonfly Express camera, which incorporates the Kodak sensor and can stream 640x480-pixel images at 175 frames/s over an IEEE 1394b interface.... DVT (www.dvtsensors.com) demonstrated its first line-scan camera.... Cognex (www.cognex.com) announced its IDMax Data Matrix code-reading software for direct-part-mark identification.... Active Silicon (www.activesilicon.com) showed digital frame grabbers in PCI, PC/104, and other formats....Omron (www.info.omron.com) demonstrated its F210 sensor, which can acquire an image in 1.4 ms....Atmel (www.atmel.com) showed its AViiVA line of CCD cameras that incorporate flat-field correction....Advanced Illumination (www.advancedillumination.com) exhibited its line of Expandable Lighting System (ELS) products....Vision Components (www.vision-comp.com) demonstrated its SBC50 60x60x15-mm single-board smart camera....Euresys (www.euresys.com) demonstrated its Domino analog frame grabbers, which employ a patented technology to enhance signal stability.

Corelis (www.corelis.com) and JTAG Technologies (www.jtag.com) exhibited their boundary-scan controllers and test-development software....Acculogic (www.acculogic.com) and The Test Connection (www.ttci.com) touted their boundary-scan programming services....Engineers from Essco Calibration Lab (www.esscolab.com), Simco (www.simco.com), and Sypris Test & Measurement (www.calibrationandrepair.com) described their calibration services for a wide range of test equipment, including Essco's recently added ability to calibrate Fluke multifunction calibrators.

Digalog Systems (www.digalogsys.com) showed its new Series 2050 test system, which uses a unique 6U PXI chassis whose backplane incorporates unused PXI pins and connector cards and supports a mass-interconnect capability....Kepco (www.kepcopower.com) showed attendees a new 1U size rack-mounted power supply for ATE applications—the KLP series comes in programmable 0- to 75-V (16 A), 0- to 150-V (8A), and 0- to 300-V (4 A) models.

Thermal-imaging systems from OptoTherm (www.optotherm.com) help you find hot spots and defective components on PCBs; software analyzes the components for defects....The American Society of Test Engineers (www.astetest.org), highlighted its 20th Nepcon show by awarding two $2500 scholarships to graduate EE students at Northeastern University.
