Instruments debut at microwave show

Dow-Key Microwave (www.dowkey.com) introduced 6-GHz, 100 million-cycle MEMS SPDT switches, available in sealed SMT packages....Aeroflex (www.aeroflex.com) announced its PN9500 wideband noise and jitter analyzer and a new 20-GHz measurement system for mixer testing; the firm also announced guaranteed 12,000-hr continuous operation for its 2200 Series fast-switching frequency synthesizers and upped the frequency coverage of its 3410 Series signal generators to 6 GHz....Cascade Microtech (www.cascademicrotech.com) introduced versions of its Dual Infinity probe series that operate to 67 GHz, and it debuted its Nucleus 3.0 prober-control software....Rohde & Schwarz (www.rsd.de) debuted its high-end 20-Hz to 50-GHz FSU50 spectrum analyzer. The company also announced an expanded frequency range—to 6 GHz—for its FSH6 handheld spectrum analyzer. In addition, it has expanded the upper frequency limit of its FSQ vector signal analyzer to 40 GHz; demodulation bandwidth is 28 MHz, expandable to 120 MHz.

(www.us.anritsu.com) introduced its MS2721A 7-GHz spectrum analyzer as well as a new 40-MHz to 110-GHz vector network analyzer, the ME7808B, which offers a 12-dB improvement in dynamic range over previous models. The company also demonstrated its Signature communications signal analyzer....Agilent Technologies
(www.agilent.com) introduced the E5070B/71B-008 ENA RF frequency-offset mode (FOM) option for its RF network analyzers; the option offers both vector- and scalar-mixer calibration capabilities. The company also debuted a four-port, 20-GHz PNA-L Series network analyzer, wide-bandwidth power meters and sensors that operate to 40 GHz, and its single-instrument E5052A signal-source analyzer.

Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. (www.tsmc.com) introduced its Reference Flow 5.0, which adds capabilities from Apache Design Solutions (www.apache-da.com), Atrenta (www.atrenta.com), and Optimal Corp. (www.optimalcorp.com)....Agilent Technologies (www.agilent.com) announced an agreement with Computer Simulation Technology (CST; Darmstadt, Germany) whereby the companies will integrate CST's Microwave Studio software into the Agilent Advanced Design System (ADS) EDA software....Cadence Design Systems' (www.cadence.com) design-for-test group described bringing timing to the manufacturing floor with Cadence's True-Time delay test for processes at 130 nm and below....Teseda (www.teseda.com) announced that it offers its Teseda Workbench DFT Intelligent software independent of the company's V500 DFT Optimized test hardware, and the company introduced per-pin timing on the 300 pins of its new V520 platform....Mentor Graphics (www.mentor.com) touted the company's TestKompress test-vector compression tool.
Synopsys (www.synopsys.com) demonstrated performance-enhancing additions to its Galaxy platform; the new features focus on functions such as power optimization and design for manufacture....Credence Systems (www.credence.com) demonstrated the use of its EmiScope II photon-emission failure-analysis tool in conjunction with Synopsys's TetraMax automatic test-pattern generator....Inovys (www.inovys.com) made its DAC debut, demonstrating its Ocelot desktop test system and its FlopPlot software....Safelogic (www.safelogic.se) introduced version 2.1 of its Verifier property-checking verification software, which offers enhanced PSL (Property Specification Language) support.
Cast (www.cast-inc.com) announced a partnership with Innovative Semiconductors (www.isi96.com) under which the companies will deliver a package for physically implementing USB 2.0 On the Go (OTG) interfaces....Magma Design Automation (www.magma-da.com) announced a partnership with Flextronics Semiconductor (www.flextronics.com/semiconductor) to provide an optimal structured ASIC solution—extending from an RTL description through manufacturing....Carbon Design Systems (www.carbondesignsystems.com) demonstrated enhancements to its DesignPlayer software that allow it to be seamlessly driven by a variety of test-bench tools.
Denali (www.denali.com) demonstrated its PureSuite verification suite that exercises PCI Express designs....Giga Scale Integration Corp. (www.gigaic.com) highlighted the InCyte specification and optimization tool....LogicVision (www.logicvision.com) didn't exhibit at the show but was on hand to demonstrate its LV2004 embedded yield-enhancement products.
