RVSI announces a $1.1 million contract

Robotic Vision Systems Inc. (RVSI; Nashua, NH) has reported that it received an order for $1.1 million for Data Matrix reading and machine-vision inspection equipment. The equipment, which was ordered by one of RVSI's partners, will be used primarily to read Data Matrix 2-D codes marked on automotive components and printed circuit boards (PCBs) and to monitor and control manufacturing processes. In addition, the customer will use some of the equipment to track PCBs on which Data Matrix marks have been inscribed. www.rvsi.com.
