High-temperature vibration sensors

Staff -- Test & Measurement World, 9/1/2004

The 4000 series of charge-type accelerometers comprises three models to cover a variety of temperature ranges and operating conditions. You can use the sensors for turbine monitoring, jet/combustion engine applications, flue gas atomizers, and experimental applications. The Model 4002 has a sensitivity of 10 pC/g with a frequency response of 5 kHz (±5%). Suitable for operation to 500°F (260°C), the Model 4024 offers 25-pC/g sensitivity. The Model 4300 provides a sensitivity of 20 to 25 pC/g and operates to 550°F (288°C). Vibra-Metrics, Princeton Junction, NJ. www.vibrametrics.com.
