IC test socket shield

Staff -- Test & Measurement World, 9/1/2004

Wells-CTI is offering an IC test socket shield for devices requiring ultra-sensitive testing. The shield works with nearly all of the company's test sockets and provides a removable barrier against EMI. Made of stainless steel with integrated beryllium copper contacts, the shield connects with the ground layer on the test board to draw RF energy away from the device under test. Also, because its materials are non-oxidizing, the socket shield is suitable for test in high-humidity or corrosive environments. Wells-CTI, Phoenix, AZ. www.wellscti.com.
