Mini-BNC

Staff -- Test & Measurement World, 9/1/2004

A new series of mini-BNC (bayonet nut coupling) RF connectors from Tyco promises to permit 40% more connections in a given area as compared to standard BNCs. The mini-BNC matches 75-Ω systems and offers 500 mating cycles. The PCB-mounted jack uses the same footprint and same installation tooling as standard BNCs, simplifying the retrofit of existing designs. The connectors are available in straight and right-angle plugs and receptacles. Tyco Electronics, Harrisburg, PA. www.tycoelectronics.com.
