Ethernet data acquisition
Staff -- Test & Measurement World, 9/1/2004
IOtech has added three models of Ethernet data-acquisition systems to its product line. The high-end DaqBook/2020 has sixteen 200-ksamples/s analog differential inputs, 14 thermocouple inputs, and 24 digital I/O lines. The DaqBook/2005 and DaqBook/2001 have eight differential or 16 single-ended inputs (no thermocouple inputs) with the same digital I/O lines. All analog inputs use a 16-bit converter. The DaqBook/2020 and DaqBook/2005 have four 16-bit, 100-ksamples/s analog outputs.
All models have four 16-bit counters and two 16-bit timers. You can use the timers to generate pulse trains from 16 Hz to 1 MHz.
Software support includes two stand-alone applications: DaqView for collecting and storing data and eZ-PostView for plotting and data analysis. For custom applications, the DaqBooks have a programming library with over 100 sample programs. Support for LabView and Matlab is included.
Prices: DaqBook/2020—$4999; DaqBook/2005—$2499; DaqBook/2001—$2999. IOtech, Cleveland, OH. www.iotech.com.
