Benchtop dynamometer

Staff -- Test & Measurement World, 10/1/2004

Setting up torque and horsepower measurements is easy with the PTI benchtop dynamometer. An AutoID function enables the PTI to detect the sensor and encoder calibration units and pulses/revolution automatically. The system includes a rotating torque sensor with an integrated optical encoder, plus a plug-and-play, single-button multifunction instrument for reading out torque, speed, and horsepower. Rotary torque sensors are available in measurement capacities ranging from inch-ounces to thousands of foot-pounds. Sensor Developments, Lake Orion, MI. www.sendev.com.
