Portable TEDS reader
Staff -- Test & Measurement World, 10/1/2004
This portable engineering tool lets you quickly and easily review the entire contents of any embedded IEEE P1451.4 Transducer Electronic Data Sheet (TEDS) using a PDA as a control/readout device. The system displays the contents of the TEDS memory chip located inside the transducer, including information such as sensitivity, location, and calibration coefficients. What's more, the TEDS reader shows the entire transducer data sheet in full detail, unlike similar devices that only read certain lines of a template. You can use the PDA to write task-specific information to user fields in the TEDS reader, as defined in the IEEE standard. The rugged reader includes an interface cable with a 10-32 transducer connector. Endevco, San Juan Capistrano, CA. www.endevco.com.
