BERT options

Staff -- Test & Measurement World, 10/1/2004

Anritsu has introduced three options for its MP1763C pulse pattern generator and MP1764C/D bit error rate testers (BERT). These testers operate as fast as 12.5 Gbps and can be used for testing storage area networks as well as 10 Gbit Ethernet. The options—a 1/4-speed differential output, a clock/data recovery (CDR) function, and differential inputssimplify the evaluation of 4.25G Fibre Channel as well as 10 Gbit XAUI and SFI-4P2 devices by allowing test operation without external jigs.
