Software testers join forces

Staff -- Test & Measurement World, 10/1/2004

Software specialist Intuwave (Maidenhead, UK) and business technology specialist Mercury (Mt. View, CA) have joined forces to speed software testing for Smartphone products. The companies have combined Intuwave's m-Test Professional software with Mercury's QuickTest Professional test automation software.

The m-Test links with hooks built into Symbian operating system software to take control of the phone while QuickTest automates the testing process. This pair can run a large number of tests on many phones simultaneously, speeding the software test phase and improving software quality. The two companies are currently running pilot implementations with device vendors and service providers. www.intuwave.com.
