Compliance testing for Japan—in California

Staff -- Test & Measurement World, 10/1/2004

Companies that want to sell wireless products in Japan can now have their certification testing performed in California. Instead of shipping products to Japan for testing at the Telecom Engineering Center (the Japanese certification authority), companies can test locally with their engineers on hand for troubleshooting.

MiCOM Labs has received appointed laboratory status for the TUV Rheinland organization, which provides the certification. MiCOM performs the tests in Pleasanton, CA, and provides the results to TUV Japan for completion of the certification process. www.micomlabs.com.
