Wireless broadband for India

Staff -- Test & Measurement World, 10/1/2004

WebSky (San Francisco, CA) and Worldwide Wireless in India have agreed to create and jointly operate a wireless broadband Internet system in five major cities in India. WebSky will design, construct, and launch a next-generation WiMAX system that will serve an area with a population of more than 40 million. The agreement is subject to approval from the Ministry of Communications and IT in India. www.wbsy.net.
