Software aids design of race vehicles

Staff -- Test & Measurement World, 11/1/2004

LMS International (Leuven, Belgium) has announced that Toyota Racing Development (TRD) USA will use LMS Virtual.Lab Motion to develop and optimize chassis and suspension systems for its race vehicles for the NASCAR Craftsman Truck series.

LMSVirtual.Lab Motion will enable the TRD engineers to model suspension setups, integrate them into full-vehicle models, and virtually test-drive these vehicles on digital tracks. The software integrates the full simulation and optimization process, allowing TRD to fine-tune racer performance with digital models, thus avoiding the need to build and test multiple physical prototypes. www.lms.be.
