Microwave power module

-- Test & Measurement World, 12/1/2004

L-3 Communications Electron Devices has expanded its Microwave Power Module (MPM) product line with the addition of a 28-VDC prime power version. The new M1221 complements the company's 270-VDC and 90–260-VAC RF power amplifier offerings, and it features up to 100 W in output power over an operating range of 6–18 GHz. The MPM is a supercomponent, combining a solid-state driver with a vacuum power booster (VPB) and integrated power conditioner (IPC). It is used in the USAF Predator and Global Hawk UAVs as well as in various SATCOM applications. L-3 Communications Electron Devices, San Carlos, CA; www.L-3Com.com/edd.
