SMA has added a fourfold CompactPCI interface module to its 3U CompactPCI portfolio. The CCAN4 plug-in card, which is suited for harsh environments, carries four CAN2.0B-compatible SJA1000 controllers. It has a 64-byte FIFO buffer and supports 11-bit and 29-bit identifiers at rates of 1 Mbps. The module complies with PICMG 2.0 R3.0 (32-bit bus, 33 MHz) and offers signal voltages of 3.3 V or 5 V.
