Thermocouple datalogger

-- Test & Measurement World, 12/1/2004

The USB version of Pico Technology's TC-08 eight-channel thermocouple datalogger samples at up to 10 readings/s, which the company claims is twice as fast as its serial-port version. The datalogger also features built-in cold junction compensation (CJC) and covers the temperature range of –270°C to 1820°C. It can be used with thermocouple types B, E, J, K, N, R, S and T, and its output can be viewed in degrees Celsius or in millivolts. The unit is accurate to 0.2% ±0.5°C with a resolution of better than 0.1°C for most thermocouple types. PicoLog software is included free of charge. Pico Technology, Cambridge, UK; www.picotech.com.
