Ricardo expands emissions test facility
Staff -- Test & Measurement World, 12/1/2004
Ricardo, a vehicle system and powertrain engineering consulting company, has expanded its Chicago Technical Center Test Cell, at which it performs heavy-duty-engine performance tests and emissions tests. The heavy-duty emissions test cells were designed to carry out engine development to comply with US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) emissions requirements for 2007 and beyond.
While diesel engines are the primary target of the expansion project, the facility is also equipped for heavy-duty natural gas, dual-fuel, and gasoline engines and for serving on- and off-highway markets including trucking, agriculture, construction, marine, government, and military. www.ricardo.com.
