Shielded DC/DC converters

Staff -- Test & Measurement World, 2/1/2005

PXD, PXE, and PXF series of single-, dual-, and triple-output DC/DC converters include six-sided, shielded metal cases that reduce radiated noise to meet the European Union EN55022 Level A specifications. They have nominal DC inputs of 12, 24, and 48 V. Available models accept 4:1 input ranges of 9 to 36 or 18 to 75 V. Industry-standard footprints for the devices measure 2x1x0.4 in (PXD), 2x1.6x0.4 in. (PXE), and 2x2x0.4 in. (PXF). The converters are available in power levels of 10, 15 and 20 W (PXD), 20 and 30 W (PXE), and 40 W (PXF). Each series offers remote on/off and trim options and provides output combinations of 3.3, 5, 12, and 15 V. Efficiencies reach 90%, and mean time between failure exceeds 1.4 million hrs.
