Enhanced measurement capabilities of the E2960A serial protocol analyzer and exerciser speed PCI Express design validation. Accessible through the GUI or programming interface, these new capabilities enable stronger transaction layer support with automated protocol checking, error insertion, and 58 real-time performance counters. The real-time protocol checker provides 23 protocol rules based on the PCI Express specification, while preprogrammed testing eliminates time-consuming programming and search efforts. The real-time counters supply information about the count of individual packet types, as well as timing information, allowing you to easily understand the efficiency, bandwidth, overhead, and utilization of the DUT.
