Switch system gets dense

Staff -- Test & Measurement World, 3/1/2005

Keithley has increased the switch density of its switching systems with the introduction of the Model 7002-HD two-slot mainframe and two switch cards. The 7002-HD-MUX1 card is a differential (two-pole) quad 1x40 multiplexer, which provides 160 channels per card. You can program the card as a dual 2x80 or single 1x160 mux. The 7002-HD-MTX1 card provides 192 matrix crosspoints. The mainframe is software-compatible with Keithley's Model 700 switch matrix, letting you upgrade a test system without new code.

Prices: mainframe—$2500; switch cards start at $3400. Keithley Instruments, Cleveland, OH. www.keithley.com.
