Fixed-point design tools
Staff -- Test & Measurement World, 3/1/2005
The Fixed-Point Toolbox lets you develop, prototype, and verify fixed-point algorithms and system components using standard Matlab notation. You can develop fixed-point algorithms using bit-true arithmetic and logical operations with word lengths from 2 bits to 65,535 bits. The Fixed-Point Toolbox also works with Simulink for creating test benches in Matlab for bit-true testing of fixed-point Simulink models. A second package, Simulink Fixed Point, brings fixed-point capabilities to the Simulink product family, including Simulink, the Signal Processing Blockset, the Video and Image Processing Blockset, and Stateflow. Both toolkits are available for Windows, Unix, Linux, and Macintosh platforms.
