Eight-port serial PCI card

Built on a low-profile PCI form factor, this asynchronous card provides eight ports that are field-selectable on a port-by-port basis for RS-232, RS-422, or RS-485 serial communications. The LPCI-COM-8SM installs in any 3.3-V or 5-V PCI or PCI-X slot and includes a breakout cable with eight DB-9 connectors. It also provides onboard 16750 UARTs with 64-byte FIFO buffers to protect against data loss in multitasking systems. A free software package includes sample programs and source code in C and Pascal for DOS, as well as Visual Basic, Delphi, C Builder, and Visual C for Windows.
