PCI-based video imaging system

Staff -- Test & Measurement World, 3/1/2005

Equipped with an ultra-light-sensitive 10-bit CMOS sensor, the FASTCAM-X 1024 PCI high-speed video imaging system boasts full mega-pixel resolution at up to 1000 frames/s. It can also achieve a top speed of 109,500 frames/s at reduced resolution. FASTCAM's electronic shutter operates down to 2 µs, ensuring that high-speed events are captured, blur-free, regardless of the speed of the object to be recorded. The system comprises a compact camera and a PCI 2.1-compliant card connected via a single 16-ft flexible cable. The card occupies a single PCI slot, regardless of the memory configuration selected.
