A new scheduler function for Version 5.1 of the MTX100 MPEG recorder and player provides an extra degree of control and flexibility within development and manufacturing environments, as well as for pre-encoded transport streams for testing broadcast transmissions. The software enables automated stream play out or recording with absolute/relative start times for each stream. It also lets you create and edit schedules of streams, provides flexible start modes, and allows looped play out of a schedule. The scheduler application can be installed and run locally on the MTX100 or installed on a remote PC for controlling the MTX100 over a network. Tektronix, www.tek.com.
