MLF probing adapters

Staff -- Test & Measurement World, 4/1/2005

Two adapters let you probe 32-pin and 48-pin MicroLeadFrame (MLF) QFN packages using logic analyzers, such as the Agilent 167XX and Tektronix TLA7XX. The surface-mount foot is soldered to the same pads as the IC using standard soldering methods, while the IC installs into the ZIF socket on the probing board. The probe board is connected to the PCB-attached surface-mount foot with a male-to-male pin adapter. Both the probe board and the socket adapter have gold-plated machined pins. You can use the CA-MLF32A-A-01 and CA-MLF48A-A-01 probing adapters to test Cypress MicroSystems' Programmable System On Chip (PsoC) CY8XXXX devices and other chips in 32-pin and 48-pin MLF QFN packages with 0.5-mm pitch.
