Compact and lightweight, the Model 1856D frequency counter covers a wide frequency measurement range of 0.1 Hz to 3.5 GHz to address a broad spectrum of laboratory and service applications. The unit includes an RS-232 interface, nine-digit LED display, period mode for low-frequency measurement, totalize mode for counting individual events, and an accurate TCXO time base. It also provides a 50-Ω terminated input for use in high-frequency VHF, UHF, microwave, and cellular telephone systems, as well as a standard 1-MΩ input for frequency measurements up to 100 MHz.
