Extech's 1000-A and 800-A clamp meters feature a large 4000-count LCD with bright backlighting, housed in an ergonomically designed double-molded package for easy gripping when performing single-handed readings. The 1000-A clamp meters include a built-in noncontact infrared thermometer with a laser pointer to monitor temperature and locate hot spots on motors and electrical devices. High-end models in both the 1000-A and 800-A series measure AC/DC voltage and AC/DC current. All meters measure resistance, capacitance, frequency, and continuity.
