For reading 1-D and 2-D codes marked on parts, packages, or labels, Cognex has introduced the In-Sight 5410 and the In-Sight 5411. The 5410 can read at line speeds of 7200 ppm with a 640x480 resolution. The 5411 offers higher resolution (1024x768) for a larger field of view or to handle greater variation of position and orientation of parts and packages. The new systems offer omnidirectional reading of 1-D and 2-D bar codes and support a wide variety of standard formats. Cognex, www.cognex.com.
