EDXRF spectrometer

Staff -- Test & Measurement World, 5/1/2005

The ARL QUANT'X is an energy-dispersive X-ray fluorescence (EDXRF) spectrometer for multi-element analysis of air particulates, soil contamination, toxic elements in plastic, and other environmental and industrial applications. Utilizing a Peltier cooled Si(Li) detector and Digital Pulse Processing (DPP) technology, the ARL QUANT'X boasts single-digit ppm sensitivity for trace analysis and breaks the 1-nanogram detection limit barrier. The Windows-based system communicates with any computer through an Ethernet connection. Thermo Electron, www.thermo.com/elemental.
