FIR filter option

Staff -- Test & Measurement World, 6/1/2005

Implemented in an onboard FPGA, a finite impulse response (FIR) filter option for Gage 14-bit digitizers lets you filter digitized data in real time using complex, customizable filtering parameters. The FPGA image allows processing by an FIR filter with up to 20 taps. Filtering is done in real time during the transfer of data over the PCI bus to a PC and does not reduce the repetitive signal capture rate of the digitizer.
