Enhancements to the E2960A protocol tester enable time-correlated, cross-domain protocol analysis of PCI Express and Fibre Channel semiconductors and systems. Supporting speeds of 1 Gbps, 2 Gbps, and 4 Gbps, the E2960A simultaneously records traffic and transactions on the PCI Express bus and time-correlates it with Fibre Channel exchanges. A multi-state trigger sequencer for each test module tracks the protocol state machine and events in real time. The E2960A's multiprotocol GUI provides a consistent look and feel across domains to ease troubleshooting.
