Infrared cameras

Staff -- Test & Measurement World, 9/1/2005

Helpful for predictive maintenance, the M7800 and M7815 infrared cameras employ an uncooled focal plane array (UFPA) detector that is 320 sensing elements wide by 240 sensing elements tall with a 60-Hz refresh rate. With four times the resolution of a standard 160x120 detector, the two cameras provide superior imaging—free of pixelating—with correspondingly higher resolution in temperature measurement. Each camera provides a measurement range of –20°C to +500°C, on-board storage of 1300 images, and a 3.5-in. articulating LCD. Additionally, the M8700 includes a laser target designator and visual camera for simultaneous visual/IR imaging. Base price: M7815—$11,995; M7800—$18,995. Mikron Infrared, www.irimaging.com.
