PLL/synthesizer

Staff -- Test & Measurement World, 10/1/2005

Housed in a tiny surface-mount package that is just 0.6x0.6x0.15 in., the CPLL66 is a complete PLL/synthesizer needing only an external frequency reference and supply voltages for the internal PLL and VCO. The device is programmed using a standard three-line interface (data, clock, and lead enable). Initial versions cover the 1-GHz to 5-GHz bands. Typical phase noise at 4 GHz is -90 dBc/Hz at a 10-kHz offset with 0-dBm minimum output power. You can use the CPLL66 in digital radio equipment, fixed wireless access, satellite communications systems, base stations, portable radios, and test instruments.

Base price: $35 in volume. Crystek, www.crystek.com.
