Transient gas analyzer

Staff -- Test & Measurement World, 2/1/2006

The MultiGas 2030 high-speed transient analyzer for automotive, diesel, and catalyst emissions is capable of simultaneously monitoring 20-plus conventional and non-conventional combustion gases at up to 5 measurements/s. The system incorporates a fast-scanning FTIR spectrometer capable of operating at spectral resolutions of up to 0.5 cm-1. It also employs a 200-mL multi-pass gas cell with a 5.11-m effective path length. This low-volume gas cell uses patented aberration-correcting optics to achieve maximum sensitivity. Detection limits are typically below 1 ppm at 5 Hz. MKS Instruments, www.mksinst.com.
