Data-acquisition box offers portability
Staff -- Test & Measurement World, 4/1/2006
Hacker-Daten Technik's portable MF16080 USB-DAQ-Box combines 16 analog inputs, 8 analog outputs, and 10 digital I/O lines in a compact enclosure that is just 105x72x16 mm (4.13x2.83x0.63 in.). The 2-mm aluminum case provides shielding and durability so the unit can be used in applications such as automotive testing. The resolution for both analog inputs and outputs is 12 bits. Input voltage ranges are available from 4 V to 24 V maximum, and a differential input mode is software-selectable. Analog outputs are fed from eight independent DACs and provide output voltages from 0 to 4.096 V at 2 mA maximum. Digital I/O lines are TTL-compatible. Four lines source up to 15 mA for direct LED or relay connection, while the remaining lines source up to 2 mA.
