Three-chip camera eases system integration

Staff -- Test & Measurement World, 5/1/2006

Contained in a miniature 44x44x78-mm package that weighs 5.47 oz, Toshiba's IK-TF2 industrial video camera easily integrates with high-speed machine-vision systems for applications requiring high definition and color resolution. The camera's three-CCD RGB Micro Prism system employs 1/3-in., 410,000-pixel sensors to capture computer-ready color images. The IK-TF2 provides an RS-232 serial interface, a 2:1 interlaced scanning system, on-screen menu programming, one-pulse or two-pulse random trigger, and C-mount lens flange. Specifications include a sensitivity of 10 lux minimum and a signal-to-noise ratio of 64 dB. Toshiba Imaging Systems Division, www.cameras.toshiba.com.
