Noise and vibration analyzer gains mobile front end

Staff -- Test & Measurement World, 6/1/2006

LMS has extended the LMS SCADAS family of data-acquisition systems with the addition of the LMS SCADAS Mobile series of front ends. The series consists of two models: The SCM05 accommodates 4 to 40 channels; the SCM01 hosts 4 to 8 channels. Each provides up to 102.4-kHz sampling rate per channel, 24-bit resolution, 105-dB signal-to-noise ratio, and a throughput rate that exceeds 2.2 Msamples/s.

The company also introduced LMS Test.Xpress, a noise and vibration analyzer that runs on the SCADAS Mobile front ends. The software's real-time capabilities allow users to perform FFT, order, and octave analysis with sound level meter functionalities in a single measurement run. LMS Test.Xpress shows the analysis results instantaneously on screen, while saving the high-sampled time data on disk. LMS Test.Xpress is fully interoperable with the company's Test.Lab suite for post-processing of test data. LMS International, www.lmsintl.com
