Intertek expands test capabilities in Detroit

Intertek ETL SEMKO, a provider of automotive testing, inspection, and certification services, now offers buzz, squeak, and rattle testing for automotive components. A newly installed MB Dynamics vibration system at Intertek's Detroit facility offers a flexure design and three-axis measurement.

MB Dynamics' Energizer system performs squeak and rattle testing on instrument panels and consoles, seats, seat-belt retractors, HVAC assemblies, airbag modules, clusters, steering column assemblies, and audio equipment. It can test to most major automotive squeak and rattle specs, including General Motors GMW7293 and GMW14011 and Ford CETP 01.01-L-407 and CETP 15.01-L-402. www.intertek-etlsemko.com.
