Camera housing maximizes heat dissipation

A new contact plane housing option for Basler's eXcite intelligent camera family maximizes heat dissipation through direct metal contact. Instead of an integrated heat sink, the housing variant provides a flat plane for mounting the camera. The required heat dissipation is achieved via direct heat flow through the metal contact, which is the most efficient method. The contact plane also allows easier integration into a wider variety of applications.
The eXcite integrates both a digital camera and an embedded PC in one small housing. This compact vision system is able to capture and process images based on your C++ application software and comes with USB 2.0, Gigabit Ethernet, and digital I/O connections. Sensor resolutions range from VGA to 2.0 Megapixels with image capture rates of up to 180 frames/s.
