USB data-acquisition modules take power from bus

By Staff -- Test & Measurement World, 10/1/2006

National Instruments has expanded its USB line of data-acquisition modules by introducing four bus-powered modules that feature the performance of the company’s M series instruments. The new USB-621x series also increases sampling rate for the company’s bus-powered USB modules from 50 ksamples/s to 250 ksamples/s with 16-bit resolution. All models in the series include two 32-bit counter-timers for frequency measurements, timing, and totalizing. The USB-6215 and USB-6218 have analog inputs with 60-V isolation.
