X-ray inspection system

Comet has added the FeinFocus Cougar Pro to its line of x-ray inspection systems. Designed to enhance yield in surface-mount assembly processes, the Cougar Pro features automatic loading and unloading of parts as well as automated defect recognition (ADR) technology. The system moves parts from a conveyor belt and loads them into the preprogrammed imaging position; from there, the standard five-axes manipulator can control the sample for automated inspection. Inspection results can be viewed on the screen or in SPC data format. Comet, www.comet.ch.
