150-W power amplifier targets HDTV

The Model CMW2055 from AR Modular RF, a 150-W broadband linear power amplifier designed for HDTV applications, covers a frequency range of 640 MHz to 810 MHz and has a minimum gain of 55 dB. The amplifier incorporates the latest generation LDMOS devices and RF circuitry to achieve high linearity, good dynamic range, broadband matching, and unconditional stability. In addition, it provides high efficiency (better than 20%) and is protected against infinite VSWR, over-power, and high-temperature conditions. The amplifier is suitable for 8-level vestigial sideband modulation (8VSB), as well as other types of modulation protocols.
