Rohde & Schwarz offers multiple options for its CBT Series of Bluetooth RF testers for evaluating the performance of the latest implementations of the Bluetooth specification, including V2.0 + EDR.
The CBT-B41 hardware option adds two multi-tone generators and two audio analyzers to the instruments, enabling you to create test scenarios for Bluetooth user equipment. The multi-tone functionality also allows quick frequency response measurements.
The CBT-K54 software option provides the audio profiles that are commonly used in hands-free equipment and headsets. Hardware option CBT-B42 offers digital audio interfaces in accordance with the S/P-DIF interface specification, which ensures that external audio analyzers maintain signal quality through the D/A and A/D conversion process.
In addition, four new transmitter and receiver measurements have been added to the CBTGo software that allow tests to be performed in accordance with the EDR test specification. CBTGo provides 18 test cases specified in the standard. To permit EDR receiver tests, the option supports the loop-back test mode, which evaluates receiver sensitivity on a Bluetooth connection under conditions likely to be experienced in service.
