Vee 8.0 emphasizes productivity

Agilent Vee 8.0 graphical programming environment adds several new productivity-enhancing features and lower-cost "Express" version.
Productivity enhancements include code completion, which works like Microsoft Visual Studio to complete text as you type. This feature is especially important when writing formulas because it minimizes typing errors. A Watch Window enhances debugging by letting you experiment with different variable values without having to stop a debug session. A third enhancement, "Programmatic Vee object properties," lets you build user-interface objects using property sheets, much in the same way you do with Visual Studio. In addition, Vee 8.0 code generally runs two times faster than version 7.x.
Vee 8.0 comes in two editions, Pro and Express. Pro version price starts at $1495 and gives you the full development environment, with access to IEEE 488, RS-232, USB, LAN, and VXI-based instruments. The new Express version ($495) lets you use Vee to develop applications for Agilent’s U2300A series of data-acquisition instruments and the U2700A series chassis.
