The GX7600 Series of mainframes from Geotest-Marvin Test Systems comprises compact nine-slot PXI Express Smart chassis that accommodate up to eight instruments, as well as an embedded single-slot PXI Express controller, such as the new GX7940, or a PXI Express remote bus controller like the x1 or x4 MXI-PXI Express interface. The GX7600 also incorporates built-in hard-disk and DVD-RW drives, a 400-W power supply, and chassis Smart functions, providing on-board per-slot temperature and power supply monitoring.
Available in both master and slave configurations, the GX7600’s compact 3U form-factor occupies only 9x18 in. of space, making it useful for benchtop, portable, and space-constrained applications. Its nine-slot layout consists of five PXI slots, two PXI Express hybrid slots, one PXI Express system timing slot, and one cPCIe controller slot. The PXI backplane supports a x4 PCI Express lane configuration for the two hybrid slots and the system timing slot, providing an aggregate bus bandwidth of 3 Gbytes/s. An additional x1 PCI Express lane interfaces to a PCI bridge device for support of the five PXI slots.
You can team the chassis with the GX7940 PCI Express single-slot controller. The GX7940 comes with a 1.4-GHz or 2.0-GHz Pentium M processor and up to 2 Gbytes of memory. The module supports Gigabit Ethernet and USB interfaces, as well as the GX7600’s embedded storage peripherals.
